History of the Friends

The Friends of Swindon Railway Museum was formed back in 1986 when the Swindon works finally closed, and was officially launched in September 1988. It is a charitable company and is run by Directors and Trustees who are elected by the membership, and who all serve without financial reward. We plan to add to the story of the Friends in the future, but in the meantime, here are some links to aspects of that story over the last 35 years.
